Guess who's back?

...After a very long extended weekend in Cairns, Australia where the weather is warmer and the backpackers party harder, I didn’t think it was possible.
We set off for our epic tour on Saturday arriving in the north around 6pm, checked into Gilligan’s Hostel (which for those of you that don't know, is party bloody central, the music makes the walls in the dorms vibrate until 5am, crazy!!) First night out was the annual 'Sinners ball', which apparently is the best event in Cairns, after experiencing it first hand; I have to say it is pretty awesome.
Sunday was our first full day so we explored the local town, lagoon, and marina/port, booked ourselves onto the two main tours when in Cairns, the Daintree Rainforest and Green Island on the Great Barrier Reef. Monday, we hit the reef and the beautiful Green Island exploring the small rainforest and coral cays around the island. After a full day on the reef, a night of hard partying and table dancing at the woolshed for a traditional backpackers night of fun. Tuesday was an early start with a killer hangover, however, I have got to admit walking a few miles through deserted rainforest is enough to kill someone’s self inflicted alcohol poisoning and when we finally arrived at Barron Falls, the views were out of this world. Tuesday night was a relaxed evening with a BBQ at the lagoon with the guys from our dorm and a glimpse of the 'ultimate jelly wrestling championships' back at Gilligan’s. Wednesday morning we checked out and headed north to Palm Cove which is a beautiful, chilled out village on the sea front with stunning 360° landscape from rainforest to reef and land. Arriving at the airport, domestic flights are literally like catching a bus so easy and quick, we departed Cairns at 6pm, southbound back to Sydney in search of somewhere to live for the next month and Thai food (There is so much good Asian food in Sydney).

Photos will follow shortly, hope everyone is having a good week?
