Step 1: Design your graphic on either Photoshop or Illustrator, I use a Bamboo Pad to help draw easier on the screen. My design was fairly simple, just diamond shapes in the traditional Aztec colour pallet, symmetry was my theme.
Step 2: Print your design off onto transferable paper and follow pack instructions. For this design as it was quite big I had to spend quite a while heating it up and then to get my mat finish I used a piece of plain paper and gently ironed over it and the graphic for about 15 seconds then quickly peeled the paper off while it was still hot.
Step 3: Wash and leave your creation to dry and there you have a D.I.Y Aztec print vest ready to wear.
That seems ridiculously easy, yay! Is transferable paper easy to find? I've never seen it for sale anywhere but maybe I just haven't been looking in the right places.
ReplyDeleteLooks great! I'm in love with transferable paper, though I always seem to get it wrong. Sometimes using a good old sharpie does the trick!
